THE 23rd CHANNEL PSALM

The TV is my Shepherd;
I shall not want.
It makes me lie down on the sofa.
It leads me away from the Scriptures,
It destroys my soul.
It leads me in the paths of sex and violence,
For the sponsor's sake.
Yea, though I walk in the shadow of my Christian responsibilities,
There will be no interruptions;
For the TV is with me.
It's cable and it's remote control--
They comfort me.
It prepares a commercial before me,
In the presence of my worldliness,
It anoints my head with humanism.
My coveting runneth over.
Surely laziness and ignorance shall follow me
all the days of my life;
And I shall dwell in the house
watching TV forever

Painfully honest time now. Answer the following questions truthfully: (on paper, in your mind, it's not an online form, although it may be soon)
1. How much time did you spend in church this past week?
2. How much time did you spend reading scripture last week?
3. How much time did you spend fellowshipping with other believers last week?
4. How much time did you spend watching TV last week?

I don't think any other comment needs be posted here. If you truthfully answered each question, let God and your own mind judge. I have other files to attend to.

(oh, ok... one last question. )
5. How much of what you watched glorified your God? How much actually edified your soul? How much taught you anything that may count through eternity? How many spoken lines acknowledged God? (how many without using profanity?). How many glorified the Risen Lord, Jesus Christ? (How many only used His first name, and then either offhandedly, or derogatorily?). How many programs used language you will be comfortable repeating while standing before God Almighty when the time comes? (oops, sorry, that was only supposed to be one question, huh?).
